Installing and Activating Elementor

Elementor is the primary page builder for the Phlox theme and after installing the theme, you will be prompted to install and activate the Phlox complementary plugins and also the Elementor.

Working with Elementor

There are a few things about Elementor that you need to be familiar with including the editing panel, options, and common actions like inserting widgets, editing content, adjusting style, and publishing pages. Because Elementor has a rich documentation and guideline website, if you have not used it before, please take your time and get to know this page builder on the Elementor website:

Using Elementor with Phlox demos

All the Phlox demos are built with Elementor page builder and after importing a demo on your website the next thing that you probably will do is edit your pages. There are two ways to do that.

Visit your website on the front-end and click Edit with Elementor:

Go to the Pages menu on your website dashboard and click Edit with Elementor for your page:

The next step would be editing the sections and widgets and also entering your own content into the pages.

Save the changes by clicking the Update button you are done.

Phlox Integration with Elementor

Phlox adds a rich collection of widgets for Elementor. In the Elementor widgets panel, you can find these widgets with a Phlox label on them.

Depending on the active plugins, widgets will be available in the Elementor editing panel. For example, Portfolio widgets will be available when you install and activate Phlox Portfolio plugins.

Also, there are some additional options that Phlox adds for every widget. These additional options that also have the Phlox label can be found in the Advanced tab for each section, column, or widget.

Header and Footer templates

With the Phlox theme, you can build your header and footer completely via Elementor, and using Phlox Page options, you can have different header templates for different pages. This is a feature that you can get only with Elementor Pro but it's available for you when you are building your website with the Phlox theme.
